Refosco dal Peduncolo rosso

Yet another success for Antico Broilo. Tasting is believing for every bottle from Antico Broilo brims with class, elegance, sophistication and territory. Refosco dal peduncolo rosso, the outstanding native Friulian grape whose bunches hold so much potential, has a relatively small berry, very thin skin and pips that crunch in the mouth when ripe, releasing superb extract and sweetness. Old, in fact very old, vines deliver these characteristics and these sensory perceptions. Above all, old vines coax the best out of the ingredients that the soil puts at their disposal. The wine matures slowly in small oak casks for 24 months. Like all our other wines, Refosco dal Peduncolo Rosso is almost entirely natural. In other words, no precursor release agents are used before or after ageing to adjust or stabilise the wine. No gums, clarifiers, tannins or acids are added. Absolutely nothing. Meticulous vineyard management is the only secret. The grapes are harvested manually by skilled pickers.
